Mapping information-rich genotype-phenotype landscapes with genome-scale Perturb-seq

In this Cell publication from Replongle et. al. (UCSF) used genome-wide Perturb-seq (CRISPR-based screens with single-cell RNAseq readouts) to identify relationships between genotypes and phenotypes for a rich portrait of gene and cellular function. To pursue a lower-cost, ultra-highthroughput option, the researchers compared the Ultima UG 100 to Illumina, which showed equivalent results.
