Poster - Enhanced whole genome sequencing using a single, streamlined workflow builds dynamic, comprehensive coverage for population genomics and oncology research studies
This IDT/Ultima Genomics collaborative poster (Poster 419) introduces a streamlined Enhanced Whole Genome Sequencing (eWGS) workflow that combines the breadth of WGS with the depth of targeted capture in a single, unified process. DNA libraries are prepared using xGen DNA library prep kits (mechanical or enzymatic fragmentation), ligated with xGen HybCap Adapters for Ultima, PCR-amplified with eWGS Conditioning Reagents, then captured with xGen Hyb V3 reagents and sequenced on the UG100 sequencer. The streamlined eWGS workflow is fully compatible with the UG100 platform, supports tunable coverage for diverse panel sizes, and delivers high-quality data for both population genomics and oncology research—identifying large rearrangements alongside low-frequency SNVs in a single, simplified process.
