Benchmarking Next-Generation Sequencing Platforms: A Comprehensive Comparison Of Single-Cell RNA-Seq from Ultima UG 100 vs. Illumina NovaSeq X Plus

In this head-to-head comparison of 10x Genomics 3' Universal Gene Expression single-cell RNAseq results from both sequencing platforms are nearly identical at all examined resolutions: Major cell lineages, cellular sub-types and Pseudo-bulk. Five samples of 20,000 cells each split and sequenced on two different platforms then compared at cell type, barcode and Gene levels. No differences in the results between the two sequencing platforms for cell lineage and cell sub-type proportions either across or within samples and more than 99% of all differentially expressed genes detected are concordant.
